THE STORY OF JESUS IS ALIVE- CARSON
On January of 2008, the Lord has spoken to Brother Egay to open JIA-Carson. He reasoned out to God that before leaving the Philippines in 2002, God told him that He is sending him to Los Angeles to support a pastor there. How come God is telling him to open a church? The Lord answered him and said, “Yes, you are going to be an assistant pastor… I will be the Pastor of JIA-Carson.
Before this personal conversation between God and Bro. Egay, home bible studies were being conducted in the house of his parents in Carson. On March 15, 2008, the calling was confirmed in Acts 13:2, “Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” After almost two weeks, the Lord reiterated His higher calling in Acts26:16 -18, “Now get up and stand on your feet. I have appeared to you to appoint you as a servant and as a witness of what you have seen of Me and what I will show you. I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles. I am sending you to them to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.”
Out of obedience, Bro. Egay notified the Elders of JIA-Los Angeles about the revelations he received from the Lord. Heeding what the Lord wanted, the Elders released their blessings.
JIA-Carson started its first Home Sunday Worship Service on May 25, 2008 at “The Village Court” in Torrance. It was officially opened July 20, 2008 at “The Villagio” in Carson Street.
On August 03, 2008, JIA-Carson started the regular Sunday Worship Services at the Recreation Room of Scott Park in Catskill Avenue. They faithfully set-up and packed up every single Sunday for 3years knowing that the joy of the Lord is their strength. Before celebrating their 3rd year anniversary at Scott Park on July 31, 2011, the Lord told them to move out of that place for He has prepared a more permanent sanctuary of worship.
On August 07, 2011, the first Sunday Worship Service was held at 1047 West Carson Street, Unit 6, Torrance, California 90502. Up to this writing, JIA-Carson continues to serve the Lord Jesus and His people, to fulfill His plan and to heed the leading of the Living God for His glory and honor.
